Wow, not sure why so many bad reviews. Really, going to complain about an old tv? I came to spend time with my husband, not watch the news. The rooms are comfy and quaint. We got a standard room, end tables and all. The front desk staff was extremely pleasant. The hot tub was warm, and the jets were strong. Our weekend it was 65 degrees, so very pleasant in the rooms. The windows open so you can get a nice breeze, which is a nice touch. Most hotels you can't open the windows. Pretty quiet the days we were here. The rooms do need a little updating. Close to the village and you can take the little gondola down, but that does stop at 6. If you are going to be later, drive down especially if it is cold so you don't get stuck walking back. Wish the restaurant was open, but it seems they close for a few weeks, so missed out, I heard it's great. They have a great pet fee/ policy so next time we will bring the pups. Will be back again.

On arrival the staff was very helpful, when you get to the room it's very spacious but no end tables by the bed and almost no plug ins to charge phones or tablets. Room also had no Air but they give you a dirty box fan to make up for it!! Decor is like an 80s ski movie, but not nearly as fun. Summer days can get warm in the mountains so get ready for a sauna when you go to bed. And very romantic lighting in the bathroom so ladies bring a flashlight to do you makeup. Bed and sheets where nice but room was over priced for what you get.

Disappointed. I stayed there years ago and now it's in a big need of updating and it's not a place for folks with allergies...there are a lot of dogs running around. The TV's are 15 year old...really??? every hotel now, even the cheap one's have flat screen TV's They also will not refund if you have to cancel/change so make sure you are on your way before you book.

This hotel is really average, but the location is great and the value of this hotel is very good. I like the pedestrian lift into the winter park village. My kids like the hot tub.

Acceptable, but not outstanding. Whoever heard of a hotel today with no microwave or mini fridge in the rooms. Since the restaurant is not open for breakfast, you have to leave the premises for anything, but in the room coffee. The beds were way to soft and a little uncomfortable.

We booked this hotel in September for our February long weekend as all of the other ski in/out were booked. The name says it all. I don't think this hotel has been updated since the 1980s. Though the room was clean and well stocked for the kitchenette in the room, the furniture, carpet and tv needed to be updated about 15 years ago. I mean, come on Winterpark Resorts, you can't do any updating and painting to the rooms for $400/night??!! The convenience factor is nice as you can take the gondola straight to the village. Plus we were able to bring our dog

We originally reserved a pet friendly room at the Winter Park Mountain Lodge but they were the rudest hotel employees I've ever encountered that I had to cancel my reservation. I then booked a room at The Vintage and I should have booked a room here to begin with! It was great to experience friendly front desk employees. Erica was professional and friendly and even let us check-in early without us having to ask for early check-in! She was kind enough to explain where we could walk our dog and pointed us to a nearby trail. Thank you for hiring a friendly staff! We even decided to extend our stay and booked one more night! The room was better than what we expected. It was a great value for the price with plenty of room and a small kitchen.

No internet. Dirty carpets. Very hot in the room while it's 60 outside (no AC, no breeze through the windows). What hotel has NO internet? First and last time...

Cute hotel right by the resort. We found an amazing price on hotels.com and decided to stay the night. They had a little gondola ride from the parking lot to town, which the kids loved. The hotel was in off season so the restaurant was closed but there were a lot of places nearby and walking distance. The front desk guy was very nice, as was the other gal who let us borrow a charger for our phone for the night. The only bad part were the rooms are insanely hot, there is no air conditioning and we were literally right next to the pool so if we opened our window we heard the 30 kids who were there for some event screaming and yelling until 10pm. Don't ever get a room by the pool!! The front desk were really nice and offered to bring us more fans or switch rooms which we didn't as the kids finally fell asleep, and as you know you let kids sleep! If you have a dog (we don't) you can bring them.

People who bring dogs to hotels are annoying. The rooms are tacky but I don't really care about that. The pool looked nice but the the locker room leading to it smelled like a hockey players locker. Oh my god it stinks. The service staff uses the main guest elevator which is stupid because I had to wait with my baby and stroller for maids with huge laundry carts to try to maneuver through the tiny doors. Reaks of cheapness. The cabriolet was broken the first morning and the front desk idiot recommend I take the bus. Ya I want to bring my infant and stroller on a school bus packed with a hundred skiers and their skies. And the tavern downstairs doesn't serve breakfast. The pros include good close parking, comfortable beds, fun to ride the cabriolet when its working to town, and less expensive than most other ski village hotels. Winter park is a dinky little place, the mountain is average and its always filled with retard ski groups, little grom kids, and people who don't know how to ski from Texas or wherever. Have patience when visiting this place cause service is not their top priority but you will still pay $15,for a burger.

I was pleasantly surprised with the Vintage Hotel. Having stayed at some over-priced mountain resorts previously, I found this place to be surprisingly cozy and inviting. True to its name, the decor is not overly modern or trendy, but perfectly acceptable after a long day on the slopes. The beds are so comfortable! Probably the most updated part of the hotel. The moment I climbed in, I did not want to leave! The hot tub and pool were also nice, particularly given the fact that it was about 20 degrees outside yet both were relaxing and warm to sit in at night. This hotel is well-located and just far enough from the Village of Winter Park to not be directly in it, but a short walk or lift ride away. Parking is free for hotel guests and others, and the Village is easily accessed by the lift (cabriolet) which takes about 2 minutes and drops you into the Village. Busses are also available from the parking lot. While still expensive in the winter months, this is the cheaper of a few options if you want to stay close to the slopes. Also, the hot cider in the afternoon is a very nice touch to welcome you in after a long day in the snow.

This was a nice place to stay in June, even though you could basically see tumbleweeds go by (AKA, it was a ghost town). Also, the heat was on WAY too high in the hallways - so much so that it affected the temperature of our room. We had to sleep with the sliding glass door open so as not to suffocate. But between having the door/window open and using the box fan that was in the closet, we managed to make it quite comfortable. Also, the room was clean and spacious, and the front desk and housekeeping staff members were very friendly. And the hotel is VERY dog friendly, which is great. You can take the complimentary gondola down to Old Town Winter Park for food, skiing, mountain biking, and other activities. Downtown Winter Park (not to be confused with Old Town - lol) is about 5 miles away, and there's less expensive food there (and a couple of grocery stores, if you get a room with a kitchenette). The only other bad thing was that some of the windows have an arched window on top that can't be covered with anything, so the 5:30 (!!!) sunrise comes and attacks your face (if you're on the front side of the building). Thankfully my MacGuyver of a fiance stuffed pillows and a couple of articles of clothing up there so we could sleep to a decent hour. And when we were outside, we could see that we weren't the only ones who had done that. I thought the bed was SUPER comfy, and the kitchenette was well stocked with kitchen things. (No oven, though, in case you were wondering.) But the wi-fi was WHOLLY unreliable, working for LITERALLY 30 seconds at a time (at best). I could load 1 page, then I had to wait 60 seconds to load the next. Summary: I'll definitely stay here again if the price is right. Oh, but P.S. I would recommend bringing your own shower gel, unless you like smelling like Pimp Juice. Theirs is NASTY smelling.

My wife and I Stayed at the Vintage Hotel during our ski vacation to Winter Park. The hotel was a 2 minute lift ride to the village. They also built a new snow tubing hill right above the hotel, which made for a fun activity after skiing. We chose to upgrade to a deluxe studio room. I would highly recommend upgrading if you are here for more than a day or two. The room had a fully stocked kitchen, small round table that seats four comfortably, and a living room area with couch, chair and fireplace. The room had a nice new king sized bed, as well as new carpeting throughout the room. All of this made our stay feel more like a home than a hotel room. Housekeeping did a great job every day, they will put all of you dirty dishes in the dishwasher and run it for you, which is a nice amenity we don't have at home! I do have to mention that you should not come here expecting the Ritz Carlton. The hotel is in need of some upgrading. The wallpaper in the room was pretty old and peeling off of the walls, internet seemed to go down often (although it was free, and free internet seems to be harder to come by these days!). The one big downside was that the hot tub was down all week. They made everyone aware that a part was ordered and they were doing their best to get it up and running. We were offered a small food voucher for the inconvenience which was a kind gesture. There is a pool and sauna there, which we were able to take advantage of several days. Overall, we enjoyed our stay at the Vintage and would consider staying here again if we take another trip to Winter Park.

Since this was my first time at a ski resort, I wasn't sure what to expect from the hotel. This place was really nice and just a quick gondola ride away from the main ski slope. Our room had a fridge, oven, microwave, dishwasher and all the utensils, cooking tools and dishes you could need. It would definitely be a nice place to stay for an extended trip. The staff was courteous and very helpful with any information that was needed. We opted for a room that had the bedroom upstairs, we thought it would be fun to have a double level. Unfortunately, the stairs were small and windy. So if you woke up in the middle of the night and needed to use the restroom downstairs, it could get a little dangerous. Our family stayed at a hotel that was a little closer to the main slope. It was nice but a little newer than Vintage. Overall, I was happy with Vintage and would stay there again.

This season, we stayed at the Vintage Resort Hotel -it gets 4 stars from us for being in a sweet convenient location (with super friendly staff, suites equipped w/ kitchens, etc.) and costing quite a bit less than being in the village, yet is just a few min "Village Cabriolet" ride away. The Cabriolet is just 1/2 city block out the front door with no lines. Upon arriving in the village, there're a few stairs and then free radio flyer type wagons waiting to help you transport your gear and kiddies to the lifts (about 5min or less walk through the village). Had we known how convenient this place was, we would've stayed there last year since it saved us a bundle. The hotel and rooms are nothing fancy but they are clean, roomy and well equipped. This place isn't bad for a vintage hotel. It was clean and very comfy beds. The pool side was quite, which is always a concern of mine. Once hours are over, the cover goes over the pools. That works! Once we needed something and I called the front desk and they brought it right up. It's convenient. It has a chair lift by the hotel that takes you to the village. Really cool. Don't expect elegance. It is in need of some slightly modernization, but it somewhat adds to its charm. I'd stay here again.

It's okay. This place really needs to update some things and it would get 4 stars. However, it is pet friendly, clean and right at the foot of the village. The staff is friendly and very accommodating. The rooms are conveniently located and they have kitchenettes, great water pressure, wood burning fireplaces in the rooms. If you are coming to hang out in your room all day I'd say pick some other place. If you want to bring your dog and need a crash-pad then - go for it!

Summertime stay. Checking in, I realize I didn't need all the beds so I told the clerk that I wanted to downgrade my room if possible she said it wasn't. She said the whole place was booked up. So we get our keys, go to our room (halls were empty there was hardly anyone around even in the bar downstairs) and after unpacking everything and getting ready to hop into the shower we realize that the tub is filling up with water and not draining... faster than we can shower. So we call downstairs and are offered to be moved to another room (how is this possible I wonder since there were no room available earlier?) and go through the hassle of moving down the hall. We get to our new room and the tub has the same problem, just not as bad. No A/C in the units, and unfortunately in this room we are right next to the pool but we got lucky and at least had a ceiling fan this time! We were told by the front desk just to leave our balcony door open; which was great at 10 PM when people were still being obnoxious by the pool. Fortunately, after a few sessions of incredibly loud sex with the door open the pool seemed to vacate and we got to sleep without much a problem. The beds are comfortable, but in the studio we had the good bed is in the loft which has windows, big and many. So, wanting to sleep in wasn't really an option for anyone who is a light sensitive sleeper. Anyways, I think by now you've gotten the point. They must have specials to get people in here and they don't tell you you're going to sweating your balls or what have you off until you get into the room and complain. Wouldn't stay again.. no way for us to get over to the main resort as lift wasn't running so that blew too.

This was a very good value for a summer weekend. The Village of Winter Park offers a number of (not so cheap, but still a good value) summer activities and the Vintage Hotel is within walking distance of the Village. The hotel offers a discount from its winter rates during the summer season. We rented a loft for an overnight. The room was clean but definitely dated - I didn't know that 70s style was considered vintage. The bathroom was a little smaller than I'd prefer, but it's rare that for around a hundred bucks you get a room with a loft, and a mini-kitchen with dishes and cooking utensils and a coffeepot and a BLENDER! I wish we'd brought margarita fixins. The loft offers a separate sleeping area but doesn't really offer privacy for parents looking to snuggle out of earshot and sight of their kids as the bed is within a foot of the loft railing. There's no breakfast on the grounds, but obviously with the kitchen you can make your own or you can go into the Village for breakfast. The Village is within easy walking distance of the hotel if the cabriolet isn't running. When we were there, the cabriolet started running at 9am and closed at 8pm. Winter Park had on their website that the cabriolet stayed open late for family movie night, but that wasn't the case. The Village pretty much shuts down by 9pm, but since most of their summer activities are geared toward the under-18 crowd, it's unsurprising. Oh, by the way, don't park underneath the cabriolet unless you want drinks dumped on your car. We got rainbow slushied.

Pet-friendly, functional, rest-your-head, no-frills kinda hotel. There is a pool and hot tub. Probably a killer hotel in the wintertime because it's right on the slopes but almost creepy sleepy in the summer and there is not an open restaurant during the summer. Not that big of a deal - just drive a few miles into town.
